Pretty hot today

After my longest ride last night, I was still able to walk today. Although this morning was rough, I seem to feel okay. My upper back is sore and my right hand is still hurting. I sure hope all this goes away.

I Tried to get some sun today but Raven did not want to play in her new pool in the backyard.. can't figure that out. It is hot here though.

Its going to be a busy night here, Tom will be mowing the lawn. I may be able to go for a ride. Maybe not.

I could never walk that far

I made it 5 miles today on the bike. 97 degrees, should have burned a few calories there!!
I could never walk that far, I have a left heel problem and have severe pain with every step. Its called something I can't spell, but It means fallen arch. I have to wear custom orthotics and cross trainer shoes, that is why I look like a complete dork all the time. No more flip flops, sandles or barefeet.

So anyway, my body feels okay but my right hand hurts, probably from holding the grip? I'm not sure what that is.

Lets see if I can walk tomorrow!!

Went longer than I thought I could

Last night I rode 4.36 miles on my Raleigh. I know it is not much compared to most people but its HUGE for me. I can't even believe it. When I got home I stretched out and figured I could have finished it out to do 5 miles but I didn't want to push it. So now my next ride will be 5 miles.

Avery made it 1.25 miles but she was too hot and worn out she had to go home. After spending 4 hours at the park and 2 hours swimming I guess I don't blame her!

I do have a sunburn from sitting at the pool too long yesterday.. I forgot the sunscreen for me :(

Advice from an old friend.

After I ordered my new Raleigh Venture lime green bike, I asked an old friend for some biking advice. Wow did I learn a lot. I patiently awaited for my bike since 5-29. I took my measurements (scary) and bought an odometer per the advice of Shane. When my bike finally arrived it was Sat, June 13. I rode around the neighborhood twice.
My doctor said I will be sore for 6-8 months if I push it. I of course don't want to do that. So we took our first family ride on the bike trail from our house to Pier Park and back and down to the end of the bike trail by our house. Not a real far ride but enough that I was worried I wouldn't feel my legs. I woke up the next morning and felt great. No pain!! I did choose not to take the ride all the way to Sucks Lake last night with my husband and kids. I need to work up to that.
